Cinderella's Victim Spread, Card 9: Fairy Godmother

I could not believe my eyes, because I have pulled yet another nine. This time it is the Nine of Coins. It was the card I received for Position 7 from “Cinderella’s Victim Spread”, a spread that addresses victim mentality. The question for which I pulled the card was: "What will help me to change my victim-mentality?" I pulled the card from the Ma’at Tarot made by Julie Cuccia-Watts and I used the Ma’at Workbook by Corrine Kenner to interpret the card. This book explains the system of the deck that uses lunar astrology to structure the cards.

Coins, the suit from which I pulled the nine, belongs to the star sign Capricorn. In the beginning of the summer the Moon is full in Capricorn, the earth sign that represents the step-by-step manner in which we manifest the things we want.

As I said. I picked the card as an answer to the question who what helps me to change my victim mentality. This question belonged to the fairy godmother in the fairytale of Cinderella. In the deck this card symbolizes the process of gestation which precedes any major achievement. On the robe of the woman are fetuses depicted in different stages to symbolize this theme. Just as my previous card I have pulled this is a first quarter moon, again an air sign: this time Libra, the sign of balance. So, what helps me to worry less, stepping out of my victim mentality, is to be aware that –very often- there is enough time to finish my tasks, that they do need to be finished here and now. And further, that I am doing well already. That will give me balance, piece of mind, a feeling of being safe and secure; a lovely garden with roses.
