Tiny Heavens again

The last days in this period of Advent my cards circled around the antagonism that the vast heavens could not contain Christ, but the tiny womb of Mary could. Clare of Assisi writes in her Third Letter to Agnes of Prague:

“(18) May you cling to his most sweet Mother, who gave birth to the kind of Son whom the heavens could not contain (19) and yet, she carried him in the tiny enclosure of her sacred womb, and held him on her young girl's lap.”

On the twentieth of December my entry was about the heavens. I had drawn Six of Wands from the tarot of Prague. At that time I could not read the heavens and Mary’s womb as an antagonism and I am not content with it. This morning I showed it to my husband –he thought this was a very Christmassy thing to ponder on it- and the moment I showed it I knew the answer. It is the determination of Christ that made it impossible for the heavens to hold him in their midst. He really, really wanted to go to earth. It was his will that made him go, and nothing could stop him.

Christ is a golden boy on this card. The gold will wear off, living on earth, but that is what he choose.
