A Fools Day

I am the proud owner of the Ancestral Path Tarot by Julie Cuccia-Watts; not the set, only the deck. I would love to have the set, but it is sold out. I found the deck today in a shop. Strange thing was, while looking through the cards in the shop (the deck was open), it gave me the same gripped feeling in my stomach as the the Ma’at Tarot. And it was a shock to see the first card of the deck: the Fool portrayed as a tarot reader.

It was if I saw myself in a mirror sitting there. It is a pity I do not have the book, I think the deck needs it, but I am happy having the predecessor of the Ma’at Tarot.

I took six girls with me in the train today, back from a rehearsal of their choir. They sang on the train (loudly). At one stop they sang an Ave Maria when people got out. An old lady with crutches even sang some words with them while going off, waving with one crutch. One of the boys of the Roder Boys Choir –who were coincidently on the train- held out his cap for gifts. I enjoyed it immensely and at the same time I felt really awkward, because I had a very big calendar with me (two times A3), for which there was no other way to get it than buy it today, and because I had to ask someone to be ‘responsible’ for two of the girls, so could take all for free with me, you are not allowed to take more than three children for free.

It was an adventure for them (and for me). Firstly because I could not find the train station. I had not expect that, although I know I never can find the way. I should have taken a map. We asked and asked and we arrived in the end at the next station where our train stops. "Saved", I thought. "We can even still make it on time." But on arriving at the platform we saw our train leaving before our eyes. Secondly because there was an argument in our compartment between controllers and a man who had not bought a ticket; that was scary. The man had to leave the train; four controllers came to assist. It was not a good example of what it is to travel by train, but it was adventurous.

The presence of the Roder boys caused many giggles with the girls. They are just getting into puberty.
