Gospel of Thomas, Logion 2, Troubled

Today I have pulled a card inspired by the second logion in the Gospel of Thomas: (2) Jesus said, “Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over All”. I wonder why it is necessary to be become troubled first.

The card that I have drawn is Five of Wands from the Tarot of Mermaids. Looking at the card I think it is necessary to become troubled because then you know that what you find is really worthwhile. The mermaids are playfully fighting on the card: new options, opinions and worn out patterns fight with each other in the golden orange light of revalation.

All seems exaggerated on the card, dramatic, over the top, and all the while the scene is still playful. I do not really get it, but may be one needs to play issues up, make some drama in a playful way to know what is really worthwhile, what is the pearl hidden in the words.
