Madonna del "Magnificat" (detail)

Tuesday, Second week of Lent, John 4:43-54, A Miracle

Yesterday I have read a story (John 4:43-54) in which Jesus heals a son of a nobleman who is at the point of dead.

The nobleman begged Jesus to come down an cure his son  and Jesus sent him away, saying that his son was not dying anymore, but lived. The man went away and met his servants who were underway to tell him that his son lived. The man inquired of them the hour when he began to get better. They told him it was yesterday the seventh hour, exactly the hour in which Jesus told him: “Your son lives.”

What to ask the tarot about this story? A child that dies is the worst thing that can happen to parents. Although the boy stays alive, I hesitate to translate it to my own life, for I cannot do justice to the graveness of the event.

Still, I want to connect to the story and to what Jesus did, and I want to relate my life to what happens in the passages I read, so I must ask a question about it. After some big sighs I have chosen the theme of the miracle. My question to the tarot yesterday was: “What in my life can’t I heal, but do I need Jesus for.” It sounds evangelical, which I am not, but well, it is the best I can come up with. I have pulled a card, and it inspired an answer but it was too private to post in public, therefore I post only my question here.
