Handkerchiefs in Church

Lauren reading a bible story of her own choice in church. She is too old for the children gatherings of our church. We celebrated today her farewell and that of the other children who are to old. Lauren choose the story in which the daugthter of jaïrus who is dead, is resurrected by Jesus.

The children left through the front door while we sang a song about making a journey and waved our goodbyes with handkerchiefs. The ritual was effective. It became suddenly very empty after they had left.
