Saturday I will teach a short workshop to introduce myself and the class I teach in a spiritual centre. I read the Canticle of creatures with them and ask them to pull card to bless the Lord for the sun.

All praise be yours, my Lord,
through all you have made,
and first my lord Brother Sun, who brings the day;
and through whom you give us light.
How beautiful is he, how radiant in all his splendor;
Of you, Most High, he bears the likeness.

To practice I have done it myself. I’ve pulled a card to bless the Lord for the sun. The sun was difficult to bear for me this summer. My card is The High Priestess of the Tarot of Prague. This High Priestess is a stern one, as uncompromising as the sun.

I bless the Lord for brother sun because he gives clarity, stays away from ambiguity and manipulation, and conquers the scary dragons of the night (serpent at her feet).
