Advent with Clare of Assisi

Dear reader,
The date above is ahead in time, so that this introduction will stay on top.

Clare of Assisi (1193/4-1253) is the inspiration during Advent in this blog. Clare of Assisi followed Francis of Assisi, founded a monastery, and lived a life of poverty. At that time many people were poor, due to the increasing trade possibilities of the new upcoming capitalism, and the cloisters were rich. Core of Clare's spirituality is Christ's coming on earth, what we look forward to in Advent.
