Fourth Annual Brigid Poetry Slam

Here is my contrubution to the Annual Brigid Poetry Slam. Brigid is the goddess of poetry inspiration. Bloggers are invited to write or post a poem on February 2, in honor of Brigid.

Days of Sombre Hue

The trees are bare, the sun is cold,
And seldom, seldom seen;
The heavens have lost their zone of gold
The earth its robe of green;

And ice upon the glancing stream
Has cast its somber shade,
And distant hills and valleys seem
In frozen mist arrayed.
