Doing the Right Thing?

My Card of the Day reflects on a choice I had to make: breaking an appointment, and disappoint people or missing an important day in the life of a dear friend.

The card I drew, Justice from the Golden Tarot, suggests a course of action, because I picked it with the intention: one thing to be, one thing to do today...

I will choose for my dear friend, that is what I will do today. Thereby I will disapoint my two other friends. I do not know if this is the right course of action; what is right and what is wrong in this case. The distinction between these two is clear on the card; there are angels and devils.

The body of the big angel, the keeper of justice, is bent in an awkward position, and she is staring in the unknown, disengaged as if she does not know or cares what happens with the scales she holds in her hand. What a keeper! She is not of any help. I really have to choose myself.

The best place to be on this card is at the top of the staff: where the owl is sitting. I hope I chose with the wisdom of the owl. I just hope I did the right thing.

I must not wail to much about it (see the entry on July 15).
